SST Construction LLC dba SunSystem Technology (SST) – Terms & Conditions of Service
- Acceptance of Terms
By approving a Quote (via digital signature, email confirmation, or payment of deposit), the Homeowner (“Customer”) agrees to be
bound by these Terms and Conditions. This agreement, along with the specific Scope of Work outlined in the Quote, constitutes the
entire contract between SunSystem and the Customer. - Scope of Work
Defined Services: SunSystem will perform only the repairs and services specifically listed in the Quote.
Inspection Findings: The Quote is based on the initial inspection fee. If additional issues are discovered during the repair process that were not visible during the initial inspection, SunSystem will provide a “Change Order” quote for approval before proceeding.
Exclusions: Unless explicitly stated, SunSystem is not responsible for repairing pre-existing structural issues, roofing defects unrelated to our work, or utility-side electrical issues. - Payment Terms
Deposit: A deposit of 50% is required to schedule the repair and order necessary parts.
Final Payment: The remaining balance is due immediately upon completion of the work.
Late Fees: Payments not received within 7 days of completion will incur a late fee 3% per month.
Inspection Fee: The initial inspection fee is non-refundable and covers the diagnostic labor and RMA processing fees
only. - Warranties
Workmanship: SunSystem warrants its labor and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of service.
Parts: Parts and equipment (inverters, panels, optimizers) are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty. SunSystem will assist with the RMA process but is not responsible for manufacturer defects or the failure of parts we did not provide. SunSystem is also not responsible for delays caused by the manufacturer failing to provide the parts in a timely manner.
Voiding Warranty: This warranty is void if the system is modified, repaired, or tampered with by the Customer or a third party after SunSystem’s service. - Customer Responsibilities & Access
Access: Customer must provide SunSystem technicians access to the roof, electrical main panel, inverter, and monitoring system on the confirmed scheduled date.
Safety: The work area must be clear of hazards, pets, and children.
Internet/Monitoring: If the repair involves monitoring setup, the Customer must provide the home Wi-Fi password or a physical ethernet connection. - Limitation of Liability
Pre-existing Conditions: SunSystem is not liable for the failure of aged or poorly maintained equipment that occurs during the normal course of repair (e.g., old roof tiles breaking during transit).
Production Loss: SunSystem is not responsible for any “lost energy production” or utility credits missed while the system is offline, for any reason.
Incidental Damage: SunSystem’s liability is limited to the total cost of the Quote. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. - Cancellation & Rescheduling
Customer Cancellation: Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment may be subject to a restocking fee for parts or a dispatch fee.
Right to Cancel: In many states, the Customer has a legal right to cancel this contract within 3 business days of signing. Please refer to your local “Notice of Cancellation” laws. If the repair is completed within 3 business days of quote acceptance, the legal right to cancel is void. - Force Majeure
SunSystem is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to weather, supply chain shortages, or utility company delays.
