SunSystem Technology Reaches Key Milestone

SunSystem Technology, LLC (SST) announced today that the company has reached a major milestone in the growth of its residential service portfolio. The company has now successfully responded to 20,000 residential solar service tickets, and the geographic distribution of residential systems under its care now reaches from Hawaii  to Massachusetts.  “The scope of our residential service coverage allows us to deliver significant scale to our clients, optimizing our strategically located technical service centers for quick deployment of service technicians,” said Greg Sellers, VP Residential Fleet Services.

The combination of improved economies-of-scale through incremental portfolio growth and the ability to achieve optimized geographic deployment of services has been a strategic objective of the company since its inception. “The ultimate beneficiaries of this milestone are our clients,” said Derek Chase, CEO for SunSystem Technology.  “Whether they are using our residential services for O&M or for system installation, our market position is allowing us to drive lower operational costs and increased efficiencies to their bottom line. Many of our clients have a regional presence, and working with us allows them to tap into resources at a much lower cost than they could achieve on their own,” Chase concluded.

A portion of the company’s growth strategy has been driven by the implementation of new residential solar finance options, including loans and PACE programs that are enabling an increased uptake of residential solar across the nation.  “new finance options that are less dependent local or regional policy, have created a growing number of regional solar markets ,” (needs revision) said Jeff Hammer, COO for SunSystem. “Our ability to map our growth strategy to this trend has proven very effective.”

SST currently has more than 100 employees working in 9 regional service centers across 18 states.
