Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center Solar System

SunSystem Technology, LLC (SST) announced today that the company has been awarded the contract for commercial operations and maintenance (O&M) services for the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.  SST installed the 700 kilowatt photovoltaic (PV) solar system that helps provide power to the greenest and most technologically advanced arena in the Nation.

SST is one the nation’s leading O&M services provider and has legacy experience in caring for stadium-size PV solar systems. In addition to the Golden 1 Center, SST also provides O&M services and corrective action for the rooftop solar systems on the Staples Center and Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California. The transition from turnkey installation to providing ongoing O&M services for the Golden 1 Center system allows the team with the greatest knowledge of the system’s engineering details to ensure optimal system operations are maintained and that the system’s energy production goals are met. “We are very happy to have been awarded this contract,” said Derek Chase, CEO for SunSystem Technology. “SST is a Sacramento-based company and The Golden 1 Center is a very significant addition to the city and our community.  It is an honor to be associated with a project of this importance to our hometown, and a great source of pride for our teams who worked on the installation, as well as for our O&M team in charge of its care.”  SunSystem Technology completed and commissioned the system in September, 2016.  The solar panel array atop the Golden 1 Center’s roof promises to become an iconic image associated with the Sacramento Kings and Sacramento’s vibrant downtown area as the arena becomes the focal point for professional athletic and entertainment events in the city.
